Research policy

INTRODUCTION

The aim of Enquiry Consultancy Policy is to encourage and facilitate faculty and students to undertake enquiry in their domain areas and regulate the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research. This Policy envisages to empathise the enquiry priorities of the University based on national and regional needs and the strengths of the faculty, and provide an calendar and clear framework for University staff and students for conducting enquiry. The policy would as well ensure that research undertaken by them are consistent with the University's goals on pedagogy and inquiry. Information technology further aims to ensure that the research activities of the Academy suit to all applicable Rules and Regulation of quality research and norms related to safe and ethical comport of enquiry.

OBJECTIVES

  • Constitute a full-fledged Inquiry and Evolution Jail cell for interdisciplinary enquiry
    in new emerging and thrust areas in Compages, Fine Arts and allied disciplines.
  • Encourage faculty to apply for inquiry projects sponsored past Government/Nongovernmental Agencies such as IMPRINT, TEQIP 3, ICHRD, Rajeev Gandhi Scholarship etc. and Industries.
  • Place Enquiry projects where Academy can partner with Strange Universities/ Premier Institutes /Inquiry Organizations for a Collaborative inquiry.
  • Undertake inquiry consultancy works of Authorities/Non-Authorities, industry.
  • Promote inquiry culture by encouraging kinesthesia and students to undertake inquiry and publish their work in refereed Journals and fund such enquiry initiatives from internal resource.
  • Encourage departments to undertake research in their domain areas and also collaborate with other departments to initiate multidisciplinary enquiry activities.
  • Plant Incubation centre to initiate start ups in the identified fields.
  • Start Research Archive hub for effective documentation of research and develop a data base to undertake research and reference needs.
  • Introduced the University Research Magazine/Journal to publish the small-scale projects undertaken by staff and students.
  • Generate funds for inquiry, develop infrastructure and facilitate research initiatives and projects undertaken past faculty and students.
  • Enrich the curriculum and teaching methodology past effective integration of the research outcomes.
  • Organise Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, Guest Lectures for sharing the research piece of work outcomes and encourage active interaction with other Researchers/Academicians and Manufacture.
  • Develop guidelines and procedures to comply with quality balls in research, enquiry code and Ethics in enquiry.
  • Prepare guidelines for undertaking sponsored research projects and research consultancy.
  • Promotion of societal oriented inquiry.

RESEARCH INCENTIVES

ane. Grants to Promote Research at University Level:

Academy from its own resource proposes to grant funds for promotion of research civilization
amongst the faculty and encourage them to publish their work. In order to provide researchbased learning the students will be given a enquiry grant to conduct small-scale research in the
fields of Architecture/Fine Arts and allied disciplines.

a) Grants for faculty:
To increment opportunities for departmental research the Enquiry and Development Cell would invite proposals every year from the faculty and one proposal from each department will be selected past a Commission constituted by the competent authority i.e. the Vice-Chancellor. The fund granted to comport out the project would be Rs. 1,00,000/- and will be sanctioned in three stages. The faculty are required to publish their research outcome in the UGC referred journals and conduct workshop/training of the enquiry event where e'er possible.

b) Grants for Students:
To encourage students to involve in enquiry-based learning opportunities and enhance the inquiry feel of student, the Inquiry and Development Prison cell would invite proposals every year from the students interested and one proposal from each department will be selected by a Committee constituted past the competent authorization i.east. the Vice-Chancellor. The fund granted to carry out the project would be Rs. 25,000/-and will be sanctioned in three stages. The students need to apply with a faculty fellow member as a mentor and required to publish their inquiry outcome in the University Magazine/Journal.

2. Briefing funding within the Country and Abroad:
The University will provide funding for newspaper presentation within the country and away in Conferences/Seminars or for attention chapters building programs/workshop once in a Academic Year. The funding is in terms of Registration fee, Travelling and Dearness Allowances for Regular faculty and for faculty on contract registration fee will be sanctioned as follows:

a) Financial Support for Regular faculty:
For presenting papers or attending Local/National/International Conferences in India, registration fee and T.A. & D.A will be paid equally per eligibility and rules in vogue. For presenting papers in International Conferences abroad, the financial back up volition be given as per the existing norms. Partial back up volition be given by the College for Poster presentation abroad/India i.e. Registration fee volition be borne by the Academy.

b) Fiscal Support for Contract faculty:
For Paper presentation at National level other than Hyderabad, Registration fee and Rs. 5000/- for travel and accommodation will exist paid by the College/University. For Paper presentation at International Conferences in
Bharat, Registration fee and Rs. 10,000/- for travel and adaptation will be paid by the Higher/University. For Newspaper presentation in International Conferences abroad, based on the Region lumpsum financial support volition be
given towards registration fee, travel and accommodation etc. every bit follows:

a) Asia – Rs. l,000/-
b) Africa & Europe – Rs. fourscore,000/-
c) South America, U.Due south, Canada – Rs. 1,00,000/-

Back up to outcome-based research:

  • The University has identified certain thrust areas of research namely affordable Art, cost efficient and like shooting fish in a barrel to execute Pelting Water Harvesting etc whose out comes can be imparted to the society immediately.
  • University has potential to contribute to national and global policymaking in areas like disaster preparedness, regional development, affordable housing etc. The research undertaken on such areas by faculty volition be given support.

The University is encouraging the research activities by providing infrastructure and space for various edifice construction industries/young entrepreneurs to interact with Academy to develop inquiry. To establish infrastructure facilities and interact with other organizations on various research activities and the Planning and Monitoring Lath canonical the University proposal to establish Incubation Centre and approved funding of
Rs. iii.00 lakh for 1 twelvemonth.

Nearly the Inquiry Promotion Policy implementation Unit:

The University has established Inquiry and Development Cell with a master objective to provide research and administrative support for the functioning of sponsored inquiry, consultancy and other enquiry and development related activities in the University. The objectives of the Research and Development Jail cell are as follows:

  • To evolve policy framework to regulate the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary Research undertaken in the University
  • Preparation of guidelines for Doctoral Inquiry Work and Ph.D. Programme Management
  • To promote and implement Research & Development Programmes.
  • To encourage core competence & consultancy in Enquiry
  • To provide infrastructural facilities to encourage Plant & Industry interaction for pioneering relation on enquiry in field of built surround & fine arts

The Academy has a advisers with the Director heading the prison cell with two Enquiry Associates to coordinate/monitor and aid in research works.
